In Search of the Great Pumpkin

October has got to be one of my favorite months of the year.   Not only is it London's birthday month, but the weather is almost the perfect temperature (most of the time), and Halloween is my favorite holiday.  And what is Halloween without the perfect pumpkin!

Yesterday, London joined us on our search for this year's pumpkin.  We hit the giant pumpkin patch not far from our house and the search was on.
I'm pretty sure we looked at every pumpkin in the patch and we're talking I mighty large patch.  But she finally found it!  The GREAT punkin!

(And for Ashley's sake, I won't recap Kurt singing the Punkin Pie song, over and over again.) One of the great things London liked about this pumpkin was she could carry it - all by herself.

On the way into the Patch, there was a "photo op" tractor and we tried to get her to pose.  She wasn't having any of it.  She wanted to get to the search.  But on the way out, she finally agreed to pose.  It cost me a buck and a trip to a corn maze, but I think you'll agree it was worth it.  Isn't she cute!
