Sledding with our Snow Angel

While on the Christmas/New Year's work break, Kurt and I promised London a couple of sleepovers. The second of these occurred on Wednesday, December 30. The last several times she has visited, we have driven by a park, a couple of blocks from our house. It is a neighborhood hot spot (or I should say cold spot) for sledding. With her new hat and gloves in tow, we ventured over to the park. The hat and gloves are new since our snow shoeing expedition and were water resistant, allowing London to get her hands in the snow without them getting cold and wet. . .yeah!

After several runs, she decied she was ready for the "jumps". Although she said the "bounce made her bum hurt", she giggled and wanted to go again. (Push 'play' to watch the fun.)

The last time down the hill, she even convinced Grandma to go. . .with the extra weight, her ride lasted a bit longer. FINALLY, a good use for my poundage!

Grandpa got the last push-off of the day.

We headed home for hot cocoa, but before we could go in, she had to leave a snow angel in our yard to watch over us. We can always use another guardian angel. We can't wait for the next new batch of snow!!
